SHINING STARS - MUSICAL THEATRE WORKSHOP

Shining Stars offers 2 exciting programs, (one 2-week and one 3-week session) which provide students with an opportunity to explore all areas of Musical Theater. The summer sessions explore 50's music, fairy tales, and Disney's Broadway, culminating with productions of High School Musical JR and Doo Wop Wed Widing Hood. The Shining Stars experience offers young actors the chance to learn more about the stage and be a part of a live theatre production. Areas of study include: Auditioning, Staging, Character Development, Vocal Techniques, Creative Dramatics, Direction, Improvisation & Evaluation. These workshops challenge young actors and are leveled for everyone from beginners to experienced thespians.

Disney Channel's smash hit movie musical comes to life in Disney's High School Musical JR. Troy, Gabriella and the students of East High must deal with issues of love, friends and family while balancing their classes and extracurricular activities. The show's infectious, danceable songs are sure to engage performers and audiences alike.

It's the 1950s, and Little Red Riding Hood is Bunny Hopping over to Grandmother's House! On the way, she meets three romantic, though not-so-suave Princes, a Fairy Godmother, an Evil Queen, a Dragon, and a Big Wolf that is Buh-buh-buh-buh-Bad to the Bone! Will the Princess Woo Wed-Wedding... Red Riding Hood? Will the Evil Queen thwart Fairy God Mother? Will Granny ever get her cookies?
