NOEL COWARD AND NEIL SIMON: A Very Odd Couple

The spring we again explore the world of the actor by using the life and work of a playwright. This time it’s a two-fer! — Noel Coward and Neil Simon, whose plays include Coward’s Blithe Spirit and Private Lives, Simon’s Odd Couple and Chapter Two and many more. By inhabiting the time and place of these great playwrights, and comparing how their worlds helped create their unique comic voices, we discover a little more about ourselves and our own place and time. A perfect Springtime treat to warm the heart, tickle the funny bone and hone your acting skills.

Professional Actors Class

April 2 – May 21 (8 weeks)
Thursdays 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM / $160
Ages 18-Adult


An ongoing in-depth class for actors who want to master their craft while preparing themselves for auditions and work. Students work on scenes, monologues, auditions and storytelling, with a teacher who brings decades of experience in the professional world of New York and Hollywood. Maximum 10 students.
Phone conversation with the instructor required for new students. Returning students encouraged.


All classes are at Lakewood Center for the Arts, 368 S. State Street in Lake Oswego.


Refund Policy: Full refunds will be given up until 3 weeks before a class begins minus a $10.00 administrative fee. From 3 weeks to the first day a 75% refund will be given. No refunds given after the 1st day.
