An ongoing in-depth class for actors who want to master their craft while preparing themselves for auditions and work. Students work on scenes, monologues, auditions, and storytelling, with a teacher who brings decades of experience in the professional world of New York and Hollywood. This is a fun, creative introduction to basic ballet movement. Emphasis is on coordination, rhythm, music, and mime using props, rhymes, stories and imagination. Your child will be galloping on a pony, leaping over puddles, and learning movements to accompany their favorite preschool songs! Students will learn basic ballet skills and terminology in a supportive and encouraging environment.
This class transitions from the creative movement aspect of PreBallet l to an emphasis on the fundamentals of ballet. Basic ballet skills, terminology, rhythm, and coordination are taught, practiced, and developed through music and use of props in a supportive and encouraging environment.
Prerequisite Skills: PreBallet ll students must be able to skip and be willing to participate independently without parent.
BEGINNER BALLET CLASSES
Level l (Prerequisite: PreBallet ll)

This class is for the novice as well as a transition from PreBallet to a more formal ballet class. The fundamentals of ballet and barre work are introduced as well as an emphasis on ballet class etiquette. Focus is on posture, stretching for flexibility, muscle strength, technique and musicality in a disciplined yet encouraging environment.
Prerequisite Skills: One year of Pre-Ballet or formal ballet experience required
Level II and Level III Ballet has been combined into one class on Tuesdays at 4:30 - 5:30 pm.
Level ll (Prerequisite: Level l)
Tuesdays, Sept 10 - Dec 10, 2024

This class is a continuation of the beginner level. Students will continue to build upon the knowledge and skills they developed in level l. Focus will continue on posture, stretching and flexibility, technique, and musicality. To enroll in this level, students must have completed one full year of Level l or be given permission from instructor after attending a placement class.
Prerequisite skill: stand and work comfortably from fifth position feet and have completed 1 full year of Level l or the equivalent previous training and approval by instructor after placement class.
Level llI (Prerequisite: Level Il)

4:30-5:30 PM ---- Minimum age 8.5 --- Tuition: $195
This is a formal ballet class for young students with ballet experience. Students participate in stretching, barre work and center floor work. They will further develop posture, muscle strength, flexibility, technique, and musicality in a disciplined yet encouraging environment. Dress code is required and hair should be secured back in a bun for class. No jewelry with the exception of stud earrings.
Prerequisite Skills: Ballet experience required. Students must have completed levels l and ll or have equivalent previous training and approval by instructor after placement class.
Beginning Tap is a beginner level tap class focusing on rhythm, musicality and timing. Students will be introduced to tap technique and vocabulary through warmups, across the floor and choreography. Students should avoid baggy clothing and jewelry for class. Tap shoes required
Tap I is a beginner level tap class focusing on rhythm, musicality and timing. Students will be introduced to tap technique and vocabulary through warmups, center exercises, across the floor and choreography. Attire: Any appropriate dancewear or active wear. Hair should be pulled back. Tap shoes required.
Jazz I is a beginner level jazz class that introduces the basics of jazz dance technique and vocabulary. Students will focus on stretching and conditioning, across the floor progressions with leaps and turns and jazz choreography. Attire: Any appropriate dancewear or active wear. Hair should be pulled back. Jazz shoes required.
This class is for dancers ages 13 to 18 seeking basic technique outside of their regular musical theater rehearsals. Students will focus on the fundamentals of basic jazz technique while building their musicality, story-telling and stage presence. This is a choreography-based curriculum using classic and contemporary music from Broadway musicals. Attire: Any appropriate dancewear or active wear. Hair should be pulled back. Jazz shoes required.
Adult Beginning Ballet is for the absolute beginner interested in trying ballet in a supportive and welcoming environment. Students will be introduced to basic ballet technique and terminology through barre work and center work. They will gain a basic understanding of ballet posture and positions while building strength and flexibility. Attire: Any active wear or dance wear. Ballet slippers are required. This class does not perform in winter/spring recitals.

While practicing through games, play, art, music, and dance, students will discover their inner creativity. Class will be held in the ballet studio which is designed for easy distance awareness. Students will conclude the Spring session with a performance/demo to be performed on the last day of class. Students will be having fun improvising, creating, and playing together each class day.
Each day, campers will meet outside on the front deck to check-in. Once everyone arrives the class will go down to the studio together as a group, limiting hallway crowding. At the end of the day, this will be the same protocol. Remember to bring a snack and get ready to have a wonderful time.

Fall 24 Movement & Music & Classes with Chloe Brooks
Early learners are introduced to the world of musical theater through age-appropriate theater games chosen to build beginning skills in acting, dance, and singing! In each class, we will begin with play and theater games in one of these three focuses, and then rehearse for our final showcase. The showcase will be an original performance, "The Gnomes Garden," in which little animals lovingly tend a garden, only to have a gusty wind nearly destroy their efforts (spoiler: its a happy ending ;). The objective of this course is to grow young student's ability to follow direction, work as a troupe, build self-confidence, and instill a sense of accomplishment all within the context of musical theater.
Limited to 8 students.
Karaoke Kids is a playful upbeat course that teaches beginning-level singing techniques, stage presence, and pop/dance choreography. The course culminates in an energetic group performance where students perform a karaoke/dance routine. Each student will have the opportunity to shine in the spotlight with solos, if they want them! Students will need to practice lines and choreography outside of class, but no previous experience is necessary! We will grow together and build confidence in the skills needed to rock the mic and live it up on stage.
*We will choose 1 of 2 songs for our performance on our first day of class, by popular vote. It will be a contemporary pop song with positive messaging.

PUPPETS & RHYME CIRCLE TIME

Puppets and Rhyme Circle Time invites any and all caregivers to bring their 0-3 year olds for a teacher-led circle time filled with rhymes, song, and movement! Wear clothes you can move in - we'll get our blood flowing and brains going together! The objective of this class is to build community and open the eyes of little ones to music, baby literature, and early social skills in a theatrical and engaging circle time we can all enjoy! Each student must be accopanied by a caregiver
