INTRO TO MUSICAL THEATER: "THE GNOMES GARDEN"
Fridays Sept 13 - Nov 1 (8 weeks) Showcase Nov 13:00 - 3:45 PM / Ages 4 - 6 / $136
Early learners are introduced to the world of musical theater through age-appropriate theater games chosen to build beginning skills in acting, dance, and singing! In each class, we will begin with play and theater games in one of these three focuses, and then rehearse for our final showcase. The showcase will be an original performance, "The Gnomes Garden," in which little animals lovingly tend a garden, only to have a gusty wind nearly destroy their efforts (spoiler: its a happy ending ;). The objective of this course is to grow young student's ability to follow direction, work as a troupe, build self-confidence, and instill a sense of accomplishment all within the context of musical theater.
Limited to 8 students.
KARAOKE KIDS!
Fridays Sept 13 - Nov 22 (11 weeks) Showcase Nov 224:00 - 5:00 PM / Ages 8 - 12 / $195
Karaoke Kids is a playful upbeat course that teaches beginning-level singing techniques, stage presence, and pop/dance choreography. The course culminates in an energetic group performance where students perform a karaoke/dance routine. Each student will have the opportunity to shine in the spotlight with solos, if they want them! Students will need to practice lines and choreography outside of class, but no previous experience is necessary! We will grow together and build confidence in the skills needed to rock the mic and live it up on stage.
*We will choose 1 of 2 songs for our performance on our first day of class, by popular vote. It will be a contemporary pop song with positive messaging.
Limited to 15 students.
