PreBallet l

This is a fun, creative introduction to basic ballet movement. Emphasis is on coordination, rhythm, music, and mime using props, rhymes, stories and imagination. Your child will be galloping on a pony, leaping over puddles, and learning movements to accompany their favorite preschool songs! Students will learn basic ballet skills and terminology in a supportive and encouraging environment.

Wednesdays, September 10 - December 10, 2025 (13 weeks)

This class transitions from the creative movement aspect of PreBallet l to an emphasis on the fundamentals of ballet. Basic ballet skills, terminology, rhythm, and coordination are taught, practiced, and developed through music and use of props in a supportive and encouraging environment.
Prerequisite Skills: PreBallet ll students must have taken one year of PreBallet I or get instructor approval.
BEGINNER BALLET CLASSES
Level l (Prerequisite: PreBallet ll)

This class is for the novice as well as a transition from PreBallet to a more formal ballet class. The fundamentals of ballet and barre work are introduced as well as an emphasis on ballet class etiquette. Focus is on posture, stretching for flexibility, muscle strength, technique and musicality in a disciplined yet encouraging environment.
Prerequisite Skills: One year of Pre-Ballet or formal ballet experience required
Level ll (Prerequisite: Level l)
Wednesdays, September 10 - December 10, 2025 (13 weeks)

This class is a continuation of the beginner level. Students will continue to build upon the knowledge and skills they developed in level l. Focus will continue on posture, stretching and flexibility, technique, and musicality. To enroll in this level, students must have completed one full year of Level l or be given permission from instructor after attending a placement class.
Prerequisite skill: stand and work comfortably from fifth position feet and have completed 1 full year of Level l or the equivalent previous training and approval by instructor after placement class.
Level lIl (Prerequisite: Level l)

This is a formal ballet class for young students with ballet experience. Students participate in stretching, barre work and center floor work. They will further develop posture, muscle strength, flexibility, technique, and musicality in a disciplined yet encouraging environment. Dress code is required and hair should be secured back in a bun for class. No jewelry with the exception of stud earrings.
Prerequisite Skills: Ballet experience required. Students must have completed levels l and ll or have equivalent previous training and approval by instructor after placement class.
Tap I is a beginner level tap class focusing on rhythm, musicality and timing. Students will be introduced to tap technique and vocabulary through warmups, center exercises, across the floor and choreography. Attire: Any appropriate dancewear or active wear. Hair should be pulled back. Tap shoes required.
Tap I & II

Musical Theatre Dance

This class is for students seeking basic technique outside of their regular musical theater rehearsals. Students will focus on the fundamentals of basic jazz technique while building their musicality, story-telling and stage presence. This is a choreography-based curriculum using classic and contemporary music from Broadway musicals. This class is designed to take repetitively as no choreography is repeated. Attire: Any appropriate dancewear or active wear. Hair should be pulled back. Jazz shoes required.
Beginning Lyrical *NEW*

Enrolling in ballet class while taking lyrical is encouraged, but not required. Attire: Any appropriate dancewear or active wear. Hair should be pulled back. Shoes: Half soles, pirouettes, dance paws or bare feet.

Coward and Neil Simon, whose plays include Coward’s Blithe Spirit and Private Lives, Simon’s Odd Couple and Chapter Two and many more. By inhabiting the time and place of these great playwrights, and comparing how their worlds helped create their
unique comic voices, we discover a little more about ourselves and our own place and time. A perfect Springtime treat to warm

Everyone has an amazing family history - but most have no clue how truly remarkable it is, because they have never investigated the generations going far, far back in time. Led by a genealogist and author of 4 family histories, as well as the book Digging for Ancestral Gold, The Fun and Easy Way to Get Started on Your Genealogy Quest. This workshop inspires you to embark on a quest for your ancestral heritage and guides you through the steps to get you started. For those with Beginning to Intermediate experience. Bring your family histories and your questions.

While practicing through games, play, art, music, and dance, students will discover their inner creativity. Class will be held in the ballet studio which is designed for easy distance awareness. Students will conclude the Fall session with a performance/demo to be performed on the last day of class. Students will be having fun improvising, creating, and playing together each class day.
Each day, campers will meet outside on the front deck to check-in. Once everyone arrives the class will go down to the studio together as a group, limiting hallway crowding. At the end of the day, this will be the same protocol. Remember to bring a snack and get ready to have a wonderful time.
